The path of love does not always run smoothly. Bumpy streches can lead to couples feeling stuck in dysfunctional patterns or disconnected from their partners. Couples therapy can be beneficial to couples in all stages of their relationship journey. Although many couples do seek therapy in time of conflict, couples also come to get a little tune-up to make their connection even stronger.
At our first session, we will discuss what brought you into therapy and what you hope to achieve over the course of our time together. After determining what the goals are, we dive into the hard work, which involves understanding your relational patterns and your individual thoughts and feelings toward one another. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples, which explores the underlying connection between you and your partner, breaks down negative cycles of engagement that hurt that connection, and helps you and your partner to develop a new cycle that is affirming and positive.
In life, we all find ourselves in moments that are difficult, painful, or challenging. We feel stuck, frustrated, and alone. I see therapy as a place to understand ourselves in our world as well as the obstacles that keep us from moving forward and living meaningful lives. Therapy can be healing, enlightening, and transformative.
Working with me in therapy is to explore who you are and invite me along for the ride. It is to learn what is important to you, why it is important to you, and how to use your values as a compass to become your best self as well as to direct your journey ahead. In this work, you are the expert of who you are. My style of therapy is collaborative and supportive, as well as good-naturedly challenging. Although therapeutic relationships aren't your everyday sort of relaionship, I strive to be authentic, connecting, and attuned to you.

The testing process will take about 10-12 hours from the first session to the feedback. Testing duration usually ranges between 5-7 hours. You will also be provided with a signed copy of the report.
The fee for psychological assessment and report writing is $225/hr., with $500 deposit required at the beginning of the first testing session. The fee includes testing, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and the feedback session. The balance of the fee is due at the feedback session.
